(Interactive whiteboards or digital whiteboards are important parts of a school redesign and therefore are widely being accepted in UK and other European Countries.)

In Conventional schools students don't get the learning environment which can provide the learning style which is essential to prepare them for an information based world, as they spend most of there time in commuting to the learning center, finding, sitting and listening the lectures given by the instructors. Therefore a school should be designed according to the needs and wants of the students. The school must be able to facilitate and encourage personalized learning and focus more on collaborative projects. This can be possible only when students are allowed to set there own goals with the instructors and are allowed to develop there own educational programs.

A school must be designed by a professional, qualified architect who with the help of e learning professionals can design the school in such a way, that all the needs of students can be met and the school promotes personalized learning.Small schools should have small class size whereas big schools should have relatively bigger class size. But this doesn't mean, bigger the school size, bigger the class size. A typical class should not have more than 15 students. For small size schools, there should be no corridors. This will make more space available for learning activities.

A classroom should be well lighted and ventilated. It should get proper sunlight as it kills the germs and harmful bacteria. A classroom should not be sensitive to weather. For e.g: during summer, it is very hot. During winter it is very cold. A Class room must have drinking area, fruits, snacks, first aid kit and audio-visual aids like overhead projector, charts etc to provide blended learning to the students. Students must get the feeling of well being and should feel safe, secure and motivated just through the class room environment. The Class room furniture should be according to the age group of the students. It should not be too big or too small. There should be minimum visual distraction in the classroom to increase the concentration level of the students. Remove show pieces, paintings, pictures, charts etc which are not required. All these things distract students.
